Sales Manager

Reports To: General Manager

About the role

The Sales Manager oversees sales and marketing functions in the store, focusing on telephone and floor sales, direct marketing, customer growth, customer service, and showroom merchandising.

Key responsibilities

  • Acquire and maintain customers while protecting company assets.
  • Set weekly and monthly sales goals; update goal boards daily.
  • Ensure execution of the sales "Flow," including telephone and showroom sales.
  • Generate new business through apartment/community accounts.
  • Implement marketing strategies to drive new sales.
  • Maintain showroom merchandising standards and enforce No-Holes Policy.
  • Perform routine service calls and product exchanges per system.
  • Resolve customer service issues promptly.
  • Assist GM with product ordering and sales planning.
  • Clean and certify merchandise in the Quality Assurance Center.
  • Maintain store warehouse and showroom in neat, orderly condition.
  • Confirm customer ID, collect payments, and obtain lease signatures.
  • Review and close lease agreements per system.
  • Monitor efficient operation of the Quality Assurance Center.
  • Assist GM with stock balancing.

Requirements & skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to lift, load, and move merchandise weighing between 50 and 300 lbs.
  • High energy and professional appearance.
  • Strong selling skills, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of merchandising techniques and general product knowledge.
  • Good computer skills and phone etiquette.
  • Valid driver’s license, satisfactory MVR, D.O.T. physical (if required), drug screen, background check, and compliance with driver policy.
